Boating Safety Reminders
Boating Safety Reminders:
NYS law requires that all boaters actually wear life jackets during the period of November 15 to May 15.
All individuals born on or after 5/1/96 are required to successfully complete an approved boat safety course in order to operate a motorboat. To operate a personal watercraft, you must be a minimum of 14 years of age and hold an approved boating safety certificate or be accompanied by someone 18 years or older who is the holder of an approved boating safety certificate.
More information can be found on our website under Boating Safety.
